Dan Lavoie, originally from Sagard on the border of lower Saguenay and Charlevoix-Est, is a well-known name in the field of moose hunting. Still residing in this area, he is recognized simply by the name "Dan" by his friends and peers.
A course dedicated to hunting
For nearly 30 years, Dan Lavoie has been hunting moose, and for 15 years, he has been guiding other enthusiasts in this activity. His love for this big game pushed him to deepen his knowledge through specialized magazines, books, videos and discussions with the best guides in Quebec. His unique method combines this learning with his own observations and experiences in the forest. Always in search of improvement, Dan explores the habitats, behaviors and vocalizations of moose, sharing his discoveries with other experts.
A growing media presence
Although he has been hunting for a long time, Dan Lavoie made his debut on social media in 2018. That year, he joined the Tournée de Films Chasse et Pêche (TFCP) as co -owner and launched the show “Bête de Chasse”. In 2019, he made his first moose hunting films, collaborating with a film crew. His films quickly gained popularity, making him a key figure in TFCP productions and on the show “Bête de Chasse” broadcast on RDS.
Guide, trainer and speaker
In addition to being an experienced guide, Dan Lavoie is also a trainer, columnist and speaker. From 2019 to 2022, he contributed to the magazine Sentiers Chasse et Pêche as a columnist.
